The inscriptions on this mosque express the name as “Qassabtuly Jame Masjid” now known as Koshaituli Mosque. Built in Hijri 1338, this is one of the most ornate mosques in Old Dhaka. The exquisitely beautiful mosque surface is done with colored broken pieces of ceramic. The Mihrab’s decoration is characterized by floral motifs in dazzling yellow, green, blue, pink and brown colors. The mosque is known for its artistic designs and decorative ingenuity of exquisite fineness, thought to be of Persian origins.
