In 2004, a special shop named “Pansupari” started to provide various tastes of “Khilipan” to the customers. They prepared a variety of khilipans in various tastes. Soon, they earned huge popularity; now they have three other outlets in Banani, Bashundhara City and Shahjalal Int’l Airport.
Pan means betel leaf and Supari means betel nut. In many countries of the world including Bangladesh people like to take these two things together and chew; when these two things are put together with some other flavored spices, the wrapped leaf is called a Khilipan.
